Electroluminescent inks are a selection of inks and varnishes creating an electroluminescent coatings, which start to shine with their own light after connecting to the electricity.
The components of an electroluminescent coating should be printed in a specific order and by following relevant technological recommnedations.
Electroluminescent inks are used e.g. in production of thin, lightweight, backlit panels which can be shaped and cut thus creating a sort of an elastic lighting.
These panels are resistant to vibrations and impact, generate little heat while operating and have low energy consumption.
Electroluminescent coatings are also used for backlighting in portable consumer electronics, telecommunication devices, lighting instrument panels, in games and toys, printing of warning and information signs, animated lighting as well as personalization of apparel and accesories.
