Drip-off coatings are a set of two coatings which create a unique ‘orange peel’ effect or a combination of a matte effect and a glossy one.
As a result of the differrences in surface tensions of both coatings, their combination gives an interesting matte-gloss contrast.
First, the first coating is applied on areas selected for matte elements, then the whole surface of a sheet is covered with the second coating.
The difference in surface tensions of both coatings creates a orange peel or a contrast of matte and gloss.
