Drip-off varnishes for printing
Drip-off varnishes are a set of two varnishes which create a unique ‘orange peel’ effect or a combination of a matte effect and a glossy one.
Thanks to differrences in surface tensions of both varnishes, their combination gives an interesting matte-gloss contrast.
These varnishes are mainly used for printing packagings, magazine and book covers and labels.
The available varnish combinations are: offset varnish + dispersion varnish, UV offset varnish + UV flexo varnish, two UV flexo varnishes.
First, the first varnish is printed on selected areas for matte objects, then the whole surface of a printed sheet is covered with the second varnish..
The difference in surface tensions of varnshes creates a orange peel or a contrast of matte and gloss.
