Photochromic paints

Thanks to photochromic paints, spectacular visual effects can be achieved. Completely transparent, they colour under the direct sunlight (or a UV lamp), revealing colours only after exposure to the light.

A designer can create parts of exhibitions, multi-coloured walls or murals which change colours only when lit up by the sunlight, elements of space which reveal additional information only when the sun shines on them, warning installations e.g. alarming when the recommended doses of UV radiation falling on the surface are exceeded, natural decorative elements such as leaves or vines entwining the walls, ‘waking up to life’ together with the rising sun.
