Special paints and varnishes: fluorescent, luminescent, metallic, thermochromic, photochromic, phosphorescent

Special paints and varnishes which use physicochemical phenomena, resulting in emerging of surprising, interesting and useful visual and other sensory effects, meet with growing interest of our consumers.

SPLinx is all about special paints: fluorescent, luminescent, metallic, thermochromic, photochromic, phosphorescent and many, many more, which enable adding extra value to your work. We are able to prepare special paints for surfaces such as: plasters, coats, wood, concrete, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, ceramic tiles, furniture, old paint coatings, etc.

We can meet the expectations of even the most demanding Customers. The more unusual inquiry, the better. Our products are being present in many representative facilities in Poland and Europe, in music clubs, restaurants, casinos, escape rooms, scenographies of sports, performance and theatrical events, both large-scale and small-scale, in unusual interior designs and architectural projects.

We have the ability to create a paint reacting to a specific light wavelength, e.g. paints glowing under the UV light (so-called blacklight paints). The paint, transparent in the daylight, after turning off the light and turning on the UV lamps, unveils the world oozing with a richness of colours. This way, you can also hide content which is visible only when the blacklights are on. Another example are fluorescent inks emitting a bright, pure, neon glow in orange, yellow-green or red, used in places which are supposed to especially attract the attention.

Thermochromic floor, reacting to the heat of a human body, with footprints similar to the ones on a sandy beach, walls reacting to the touch, ice or warm air? A building facade with a photochromatic coating that changes colour under the sunlight? Do you dream of a building facade which charges with light during the day and glows after dark? How about a ceiling shining in the night like a star-studded sky? You can light up your nighttime surroundings both indoors and outdoors by using phosphorescent paints.

We have a specialised team of professionals, which includes chemists-lab technicians, colorists and specialists who control quality of products leaving our facility. We work with the most modern measuring equipment, serving to evaluate the special effect, colour, rheological properties and resistances of our paints.

We can create a resistant epoxy resin which will work well in mechanical exploitation and, in addition, will also be fluorescent. If you would like a „glowing” marking of pedestrian routes on an epoxy floor, we will find a solution for you, too. Grouts which glow in the dark or under the UV light, ceramic bathroom tiles or floor tiles which change colour when exposed to warm or cold water. White paints which turn the surface into transparent after contact with water or moisture. Impossible barely exists to us.

Among the solutions using our special paints and coatings, interferential (sparkling and shimmering with multiple colours), optically variable (changing colours depending on the angle of observation) and pearlescent decorations can be found. You can create a magical room for your child, full of incredible, interactive effects by using paints which are fluorescent, phosphorescent (glow-in-the-dark), photochromic (reacting to light), thermochromic (reacting to temperature), or with blackboard paints which can be drawn with chalk, magnetic paints which will hold magnet elements of toys and games, and many more. Build a fence with elements or designs which appear during sunny weather. Create scented walls which release scent after rubbing them with hand. Paint your walls with conductive paints or ones that glow after plugging into electricity. It is possible.

Our paints have been tested in various areas of industry as well as in everyday life. Apart from classic methods of application, such as roller, brush or spray painting gun, our paints are also used in professional industrial lines in technologies such as spraying, roller, rotogravure etc. SPLinx produces special paints which can be used not only indoors but also outdoors. We produce paints and coatings in various technologies, from the most eco-friendly, water-based ones, through products that are cured by UV/LED rays during production process, to epoxy or solvent-based products. We suit our paints to Customer’s specific requirements. We adjust our coatings to the requirements of interior designers and architects. Our Technical Department is ready to face the most demanding and special inquiries in special coatings’ area.

SPLinx, responding to the current and burning needs of a market, has introduced to its portfolio microbicidal (bactericidal and virucidal) products for at-home use and for professional use in public spaces, e.g. healthcare facilities. These are the products from the VARNcoat Vbcidal Ag+ (virucidal and bactericidal varnishes), VARNcoat DesinRes (protective varnishes against disinfecting agents) and VARNcoat CidalRes (biocidal varnishes which also protect surfaces from disinfectants) series. VARNcoat Vbcidal and VARNcoat CidalRes series contain pigments which are carriers of silver ions, therefore show high efficiency of fighting off viruses and bacteria. Silver, called a killer of viruses and bacteria, has been successfully used for years for production of products meant to combat these dangerous microbes. The biggest advantage of these products is their bactericidal and virucidal activity, comfirmed at the level of 99%. Virucidal paint by SPLinx can be applied on a stable layer of old paint, and thus, a resistant and virucidal coating is obtained. Antiviral coatings by SPLinx come in transparent and coloured versions.

We have a few antiviral solutions in our offer, from the antiviral wall coating itself to complete virucidal wall paint systems, which often consist of three products and have resistance to mechanical wear and, primarily, to the most popular disinfectants. If one would like to apply SPLinx’ virucidal products on surfaces other than walls – of course, it is not a problem. Panels, tiles, wallpaper, concrete, wood? Absolutely no problem. To create a durable virucidal system by SPLinx on one of aforementioned materials, a suitable primer should be used, and there you can enjoy the virucidal effect as well..
